SLJ week 1

 KIA Ora all blogger,

 Today my class and I we made three different air planes. A air plane, a glider and a hoop We watched a video and Nano girl showed us how to make the three different planes it was fun and the hole class enjoyed it and it was fun we did the there different planes for the SLJ challenge.

Today it was the practice of the Summer Learning Journey. It was the NASA I did two of them and it looks cool So I picked one of the NASA pictures and I colored it.

 Hello blogger, my favorite part doing this blog post was creating the animation and typing the words for the little boxes and I had fun doing it with class mate and I hope you enjoy.

 Today we had a google meet with my class and we had a special guest and his name is phil and he told us to try and copy his chimpanzee and I try my best and we had to share our work and we had to post it on our blog so this is what we did today.   

Small folk

 

Today my friend and I went to the mountain and we saw a house. It was inside of the mountain and it looked like a man cave. My friend knocked on the door and a lady answered the door and I asked her questions. So they had told me that they lived with small folk there for as long as he could remember. 

Generations and generations passed but very little changed. They kept themselves to themselves hidden away from the world. They enjoyed staying out of the limelight. They enjoyed letting others be the centre of attention.

They were strange folk in a way, small and strange. However, they were also very, very interesting. These small folk were entirely unique, as you are about to find out.

The most common prey are zebras, giraffes, pigs, cape buffalo, antelope and wildebeests.A single lion kills about 15 large animals each year, filling out its diet with carrion, as well as kills made by other members of the pride. Typically, in the  wild more than half their food.

Habitat

Lions live in a variety of habitats but prefer  grassland, savanna, dense scrub, and open woodland. Historically, they lived across much of Europe, Asia, and Africa but now they are mainly found in parts of Africa south of the Sahara.

Characteristics

The lion is a well-muscled cat with a long body, large head, and short legs. Size and appearance vary considerably between. The male's outstanding characteristic is his mane, which varies between different individuals and populations.

Born

Lion cubs are born with tawny black spots which eventually disappear as they grow older. When it is time to give birth a lioness leaves her pride and has her lion babies in dense cover. A female lion mother will move her new cubs to a safe den. The cub gets picked up by the scruff of the neck.

 

 

How long can a lion live?

Lion

 can go without food for a maximum of 14 days and without water for 4 . but will eat wild cucumbers and wild melons to extract the moisture content.

Did you know?

Lions are the only cats that live in groups. A group, or pride, can be up to 30 lions depending on how much food and water is available. Female lions are the main hunters. A lion's roar can be heard up to eight kilometres away. Lions scent mark their territory using their wee to create a border.
